Our clients for this project were ultimately looking to replace the cookie-cutter, builder grade kitchen in their condo while also improving usability and capacity. With a modern and rustic fusion approach, we were able to give this contemporary loft a nice face-lift. The kitchen’s blue accent cabinets pay homage to retro styling combined with a taste of texture from the custom floor stain color on Canadian hard maple hardwood and the subway tile backsplash. This unique kitchen has many contrasting elements that harmonize together very well. The granite island brings all the colors, textures and styling together like glue and becomes an elegant centerpiece for the space. The design of this kitchen drastically increases the functionality and capacity for the space, which was important for the client who prepares weekly meals in batches.
