Our client’s goal for this remodel was to create a space that allowed them to connect with their family – a space where they could be cooking in the kitchen and still engage with their kids in the adjoining family room. Throughout our planning process, we discovered that these clients really enjoy cooking and entertaining friends and family at their home, so an open concept design was the only way to go. The result is a fun and functional kitchen with modern gray cabinets, an oversized island with dark blue lower cabinets and white countertops. A unique tile backsplash and upgraded appliances turned this space into an inviting kitchen with a subtly modern aesthetic. Upon starting demolition for this kitchen remodel, we discovered that the existing addition was structurally failing, so we had to make a slight adjustment to shore up and rebuild the first floor framing. After rebuilding the frame, we were able to instal a fantastic new kitchen and addition that this family and friends can enjoy for years to come.
