Transforming Unused Space into Wellness at Home

Project Overview

These clients wanted a home workout space, and we delivered—transforming unused space beneath their home’s addition into a fully equipped gym.

The space is designed into designated areas for lifting, cardio, and more. Durable Mannington rubber flooring anchors the weight zone, while soft taupe Finizzi vinyl plank flooring ensures comfort and sound insulation.

Our designer and client work together to add thoughtful, functional details throughout: a custom-built closet for organized storage, a wall-mounted 55″ TV installed on a mirrored wall for both entertainment and form, a George & Willy wood pegboard shelf for gym accessories, recessed lighting and a Panasonic Whisper Mighty fan for ventilation.

To complete the transformation, we installed a striking A-Series hinged patio door with black hardware—an elegant contrast to the Hardie board shingles that match the home’s existing exterior.

Smart design turned this overlooked area into a stylish, functional gym and much needed wellness space and retreat the homeowners desired.
